Over The Washer Cabinets

Create your own "MANDALA"

According to tradition, the shape of mandala represents the base of a square building with four doors and a center in the direction of the cardinal points.
The mandala can be represented in a variety of forms :
with an image painted (thanka)
with sand colored
with heaps of rice,
with a three-dimensional shape, typically of cast metal.
The term "mandala" comes from the Sanskrit word dkyl-khor, which means "center and periphery." In the Tibetan translation mandate would
essence and meaning to grasp, then MANDALA: grasp the essence. The
mandala is thus considered the summary of the different elements of the universe, within the one made visible through the experience called 'meditation'. Mandalas are made colors and forms are enclosed in a circle, respecting strict harmonious symmetry, symbolizing the cosmic forces, in many cases also have the function of 'container' in which lay ritual objects (i = Dorje offers) that represent different aspects of divinity.
